A table thou hast set for me
In the presence of my foes
My head thou dost with oil anoint
And my cup overflows.
Sometimes, a lot of things one has wanted for a long time come together to you at once.
God has four answers to prayer, No, slow, grow, and GO.
Prayers have a sowing, growing and harvest season.
I am currently in the Go season, the harvest season.
Oh gosh, literally.
What happens when one’s cup overflows. Lovely wine, wonderful wine, but more than one handle.
Social life is like that for us now. More invitations than we can go to without burnout. I had a friend over for lunch, then did not have the emotional energy to go an artsy wine and cheese I would have loved to go to, normally. I sensed that I would just long to be back home if I did go, so did not.
Suddenly God showers his goodness on you, and your cup overflows–even in the presence of your foes.
