What do you Want? John Chapter 1.

By Anita Mathias

What do you want?                                                                                                           John 1:37

Come follow me.
And you will see
Clarity
Lucidity
I will give you.                                                                                                              John 1:39

You are called Simon,
But you will be called
Cephas, Peter, the Rock.

I call you
And I will keep calling you
From what you are now
To what you cannot yet dream of being
To a strength
Now beyond your imagining.

No longer will you catch fish,
You will use your skill
To catch men to my beautiful way of living.

Following me will always lead you
Upward
Onward
Closer to me
To a greater destiny
Than you can dream of.

I Saw You

I saw you

While you were under the fig tree.

I had my eyes on you.
When you were angry, afraid and full of doubt,
And everything seemed to be unraveling
And nothing seemed to be working.
But I could see how beautifully
I was fashioning all things.

When you couldn’t see me
I saw you.

And today, I have my eyes on you.

And you will see greater things
Than you now imagine possible.

You will see heaven open to your prayers.

You will see its angels ascending and descending
From heaven to earth.

You will see my glory.
