Never heard that one before–“Good judgment comes from experience, and experience often comes from poor judgment.” Thanks goodness something comes out of our mistakes, and thank you, God, for mercy!

But there’s another side to the Genesis story, namely God’s mercy on us through Christ, so that the consequences from our foolish choices can be redeemed. Usually we start out not knowing how to choose our destinies rightly. I can personally vouch for the saying that “Good judgment comes from experience, and experience often comes from poor judgment.” Thankfully, God gives mercy and grace!
