I wish we had slowed down and asked Jesus earlier–we would have saved ourselves six weeks of damaging words and family conflict. I do feel so much happier and more peaceful having relinquished it. Though, as you’ll notice, i did do some blog therapy!

The elder brother in charge of affairs and conflicting agendas in other parts of the family not helped by an indistinct will which was intended to do good but has not. In the end we have chosen not to fight, not to raise a voice or a finger but to surrender all to Jesus, and live for him and for them. If anything comes, then it will be a bonus, meanwhile we enjoy peace and God’s provision without any of the high blood pressure and fallings out over the water. Peace is priceless, the rest is just money.

Powerful. So hard to let go but ultimately whatever happens you still have Jesus, how nutty He may be He is the Lord of life and love and we can’t live without Him. I would find it hard to let go of it! But it is the way to greater peace.
