I hope you have a wonderful year, Janet and read those 10-12 books. Have you tried Audible? I love listening to books on tape in the car, and on the trampoline!

I love reading your blog. It brings me a sense of peace and also good ideas! I keep up with my book reading on the site Goodreads. I almost made the commitment to read 12 books this year but put 10 instead. Ye of little faith.. I’m still so happy for Irene. I understand your ‘what if’. I feel so guilty when i have those moments wondering if I lack the faith.
Its been kind of s scattered first twelve days of the new year, but reading your post, I am motivated to do some pondering this weekend. I did pick my word for the year and it is “ponder.” First time I’ve used it or even remembered! LOL

In reply to Laurel. It may be overkill. Several studies talk about the Amish who eat not too unhealthily (bacon, eggs, fried potatoes etc.) but are on their feet most of the day, and have almost no obesity in their communities. Of course, I would rather eat healthily...because of the risks of cancer, cholesterol etc.!
