You know Freda, as I grow older, I am realising that. I find myself lapsing into prayer when tired, puzzled, directionless, feeling foolish, or lost!

Thanks. Yes, since Scripture is silent on how long (it was written in a less time-obsessed age) , I feel we need to discover, by trial and error, the amount of time we need to spend with God to have his life coursing through our spirits. And of course, God will call each of us to different spiritual disciplines according to the plans he has for our lives.

A beautiful post Anita. And encouraged in to me in my own life of prayer. On days when I am at work I can't spend large amount of time in prayer in one go. But what I can do is have a few moments in between the busyness of work life to look at Jesus and remember who he is and say a quick prayer of gratitude. I have verses of scripture which I put on my desk in front of me so I can see them while I work. Seeing them help me to turn my mind to Jesus at regular intervals throughout the day. Thank you for sharing
