I’ve seen darkness, but one episode in particular stands out. It was when i lost my faith completely for a time. At first i felt good about not having God in my life. I wanted independence. But then one day i realised i missed God and suddenly i was in a deep dark prison. I longed for God but no longer believed in Him.

But it was that longing for Him that made me seek Him more. Ultimately it brought me closer to Him. I learnt what it was like to live with out God and i didn’t want to do that again.

I find that my relationship with God now is much stronger and more intimate than it was before the time of darkness. And as a direct result of that experience and that closeness with God i have found freedom from food addiction. Praise the Lord for darkness as well as light.
