"You are rich, indeed. Rich in the love of family and rich in the love of God. No one can take this love away"
Thank you for your kindness and encouragement, Elizabeth.
I will institute several safety measures!

Thanks, Karrie. Yes, there is scriptural precedent in praying for a 100 fold multiplication--and so I will--and also pray that I will be able to use that to be a blessing.

Thank you for your encouraging words--and welcome to my blog!

Yes, many times and always by those I love. When I get worked up about it, I am always reminded of the parable of the man who was forgiven his great debt. Yet, he became a free man who withheld mercy from those who owed him small (Matthew 18:21-35). Humor helps ease the pain and imagination is faith building. For instance, imagining each item being repaid one hundred fold and creating outlandish scenarios to how it would play out. Your grandfather is a wise man who has proven my one hundred fold mentality. Thank you for sharing your stories. I'm sorry for your losses and pray they will only become your gain (one hundred fold).

Anita, such an encouraging tone to your blog! Yes, the subject matter was a real "downer," but your father's attitude and your attitude towards burglaries are to be commended.

I hope and pray that you and your family can feel safe again and secure in your house, regardless of the people who broke in and stole things. I can't help but think that _things_ are transient. You and your loved ones are not. You are rich, indeed. Rich in the love of family and rich in the love of God. No one can take this love away--not ever.

Thank you, Susan for your kind comment. And prayer " I’m believing with you for everything to be restored to you, in one way or another. A double portion."

My car is recovered, and some stuff, but not my daughter’s laptops or my first ever large screen TV :-), But I have been convicted that more of my heart was in the treasure that "thieves can break in and steal" than I realised or than Jesus recommended.

I am trying, intentionally, to turn my focus back onto Jesus and heavenly things. For that will fill my whole body with light, whereas focusing on stuff brings no light to my soul.

Testing teaches us about ourselves--and I have learnt that stuff meant to me than I had realised. Thank you for your kindness!

What a tremendous legacy from your grandparents and parents, and also your own as your children watch how you respond to injustice.

You are making peace, even in front of your enemies,, should they be watching or reading. Just as you luggage was returned to you unharmed, I'm believing with you for everything to be restored to you, in one way or another. A double portion.

May God bless you richly... I look forward to seeing how this all turns out. Thanks for sharing your story!

Stuff, and time to replace it--and hassle to put protective measures in place to make sure it does not happen again! But yes, our time is God's as is our money and stuff!

Indeed! Thanks Joanna.
I am sorry that Cambodia thing didn't work out for you. It did seem to be a good match for you. I believe Tearfund will run it again (if we succeed in our fund-raising target). You should apply again. It's ultimately a matter of platform, I suspect.
