I loved your description of anointing as a verb. So giving.
I confess I still think of it as a noun, receiving an anointing.

Thanks, Elizabeth. Read your post, like it. Batterson’s book has been wonderful for my prayer life, though obviously not every book will speak to everyone.
Circles–start praying about your heart’s greatest desires, leaving it up to God to answer the prayers in the way he wishes, and when he wishes 🙂

I mentioned Mark Batterson’s book in today’s post. Yes, I’m in the middle of it, and I’m still reserving judgment. Yes, I see how drawing circles and praying over them can work. BUT . . . I’m not certain I _can_ draw circles. Or am drawing the “right” circles around the “right” things. Or am thinking on the same wavelength as God. Or something. In the same way, I am hesitant to ask for a double anointing, like Elisha did from Elijah.

Thanks for the positive, encouraging post. You have a vibrant life and walk with God–I regularly can see that from your posts. I sometimes have a closer walk with God, but then it gets not-so-close. I crave that closeness. It’s getting better. (I know God hasn’t moved. God’s still there, patiently waiting.)
