I would often mistakenly think the young aids with two children had a husband, especially if they talked about the man they were living with. I apologized often trying to convey that I wasn’t judging, just old. Trying to show them Jesus’ love as I felt very Topsy turvey.

I am used to such interactions, and have spent a very small proportion of my life in Oxford. In fact the time I have spent in Oxford was singularly bereft of ‘fast-moving, intelligent conversation’.
