Yes, of course, I have no question in my mind, that many (but, of course, not all) physical illnesses are sin-caused! Welcome to my blog, Sheila!

Thanks, Jenny. Glad you liked it. Was aware I was straying (perhaps dangerously) into medical territory!

Me, too. I must have read it when I was about eighteen, probably not really getting most of it. I ought to look at it again

Thanks, John. "Memories, Dreams and Reflections" is a good place to start with Jung, a very readable memoir. I read it in 1986, and still remember passages vividly. The passage I quoted underlines my conviction of a just universe, yet crossed with mercy, at the Cross.
Isaiah 6:7 is one of the reasons I love being a Christian. I don't know how I could do life any other way!

Profound, as always. I think I am something of a Jungian, if such a label exists His journey of the soul in some sense is equivalent to John of the Cross - the nagging sense of restlessness people experience in midlife because they really never took care of business in their earlier years and relegated some pretty foul-smelling toxins to their personal basements which they've taken care to always keep locked - Jung called it 'the shadow'. When they finally surface, they tend to turn nasty. As the sheep of His fold, Is 6:7 isn't just comforting, it's prophetic.
