We make our own decisions because either we have free will or we don’t – it’s not a “kinda” proposition. Where I see God in your life is giving you the grace to see all the wonderful things that have happened in your life and the faith that you have in his promise to his faithful servants. His grace so touches you and it’s that grace that puts that positive rating on your trials and tribulations. And it is clear to me that your writing and life is literally dripping with his grace. Regardless of the outcomes of the infinite myriad of decisions we all make (of our own free will), God’s grace is always there, allowing us to see ourselves as God sees us, seeing others as God sees them and guiding us to decisions that lead us to a closer walk with him.

Storyline has a workbook, which makes going through the process easier. I will be trying to write a memoir, so I guess I am interested in working out God’s plot and theme for my life.
Most of my errors have come from trying to take things into my own hands,and manipulate things into the shape which I prefer. Oh, to lay down these weapons of striving!

Hi Anita! I connect with your story. Sometimes my self-inflicted adversities tempt me to discouragement in the face of seemingly lack of success. I also see the positives in my times of trials and tribulations now. After having brain surgery in 1995, and losing my business in 2003, I went back to college and received a BA in Psychology, which has helped me immensely with my self-knowledge. And, I know that God has helped me to develop a good human heart and mind to deal with anything that comes in my path. Thank you for the confirmation. God Bless!

Step 1? I’m just not self-aware enough to assign value to whatever befalls me. Rodney Kingstone (I think it was) once remarked that ‘we stumble around in the twilight most of the time.’ I think he was right, at least from where I stand. Most of my errors/sins/miscalculations/misjudgements have come about because even when I tried to plan, the plotline seemed to have a mind of its own. Only because of Rom 8:28 – especially the part about ‘called according to His purpose’ saved me from drowning in my own ego-drenched intransigence. More than once.
