Joy, I&#039;m so grateful for your comment here.  I agree that Luther&#039;s approach to the Lord&#039;s Prayer is akin to Lectio Divina.  Both include ruminating on a biblical text, drawing out its goodness.  On the other hand, Luther moves quickly to framing his own prayer according to the topics outlined in the Lord&#039;s Prayer -- rather than the various kinds of listening to the text a classic Lectio would emphasize.
