Thank you, LA. Liturgy does little for me. It’s partly because I am thinking of one phrase, or idea, and the liturgy has rushed on.
My theological understanding of communion is not deep or profound. Maybe, I just need to meditate on it more. I know some people find it profound and moving and cannot indulge in small talk just after it–It’s something I need to meditate on more–I don’t understand it well.
I generally dislike liturgy intensely, but a couple of days ago was at a service in the Cotswolds, a very traditional part of the country, and they used a fresh liturgy, very lively and relevant, and it was beautiful!
