Sadly, I don't live nearby--am 55 miles away, and feel huge guilt and self-doubt when we visit as it takes much of a day, but truly once we are there, all our worries melt away, and it's a little slice of heaven.

Thanks, Les. It really is a jewel, isn't it, and relatively uncrowded in this season!

Didn't realize Oregon was so behind us (in seasons). I've just been to the Pacific NW once. We saw some lovely tide pools in Oregon, and were cut off by the tide, and, amazingly, visited a rain forest there! We went to the NW to visit Mount Rainier!

Ok, those Rhodies are massive!! We have tons of Rhodies here, but none that large...those are amazing! Interesting our seasons...our daffodils, crocuses and other spring flowers have been gone for over a month now...nearly 2...so it was delightful to see them again in your photoessay. Those snake flowers are so unique! I do not understand how an atheist can stand in Kew Gardens and not experience God.

How very lovely. We also have some lasting memories of a visit there in the depths of February a year or two ago, and found refuge in the Orchid Exhibition which was breath-taking. What splendid photos on today's blog. Thank you Anita.

Kew is lovely. What a treat to live close by! Your pictures are wonderful. I remember being horribly sick on the last bit of my trip to the U.K. years ago but stubbornly insisting that I had to see Kew Gardens. It was worth it! Absolutely enchanting.
