Thanks Joy. I used to have abounding energy which I squandered in misdirected effort. Now, that I have stacks less energy both physically, emotionally and mentally, I am far more deliberate about what I take on, and, ironically, end up achieving more!

Sometimes the constraining hand of enforced slowness can feel like being held back from fully participating in life. I love the way you describe the blessing it brings to walk slow and deliberate. Our ‘limp’, our weakness, all those things that prevent us racing ahead as we want to – all these things are gift when they throw us in dependence on God and open a heart of compassion for fellow travellers.
