Everytime I’ve listened, my life has been totally changed in ways that wouldn’t have even been possible, otherwise. Also, when I’ve second-guessed the instincts and feelings that God has given me, I have regretted it ever since. I’m not open to listening, because I am afraid of the regrets, but I am open, because it feels like this totally personal relationship with God, where He cares so much about what is going on in my life, that He guides me, corrects me, and moves me forward. Oh yes, it challenges you far more than sermons, because you can linger on a thought or sentence for as long as possible. A sermon is listening to someone else’s insights, and it can rush to 4 other points before you’ve digested one.
