Family harmony makes me happy. My garden, dirt, birds, trees with big leaves (or weeping branches), mountains (either hiking or viewing from afar), flowing water, puffy white lazy clouds, reading, writing, oh, there are so many things to make me happy!!

I have found some this past few months in which I could become lost. Two were set in Ireland. Frank Delaney's “Shannon,” and Jan Karon's “In Company of Others.” Now, I'm reading one about a teenage boy moving to Baltimore in 1954, and befriending a young lady paralyzed by polio, living in an iron lung, “An American Summer,” by Frank Deford. I always read spiritual books, but there is nothing like getting lost in story.
We enjoy movies, also. Both girls are very interested in the making, the directing and the story of movies.
