@ Rhoda, I find I reflect while writing. I often start a post not knowing what I think. I sometimes change my mind as I start writing, and write a post saying the opposite of what I thought I was going to say when I started. The discipline of writing focuses my thoughts.
I sometimes choose my topic in the morning (I write almost every day) and then mull over it as I go through my day. Of course, half the thoughts are forgotten, but the ideas can be pretty gelled by the time I sit down to write, though I have been tidying the bedroom or my study, or trying to run.
Perhaps, set yourself a topic and reflect on it as you do your housework and cooking?

The biggest problem with me I think is that I can often be so busy and tired that I don't have enough space to reflect to be able to write something!
