This was totally a word in due season for me! I have to finish a short story for a contest I want to enter, and it must be done today. I don't know how it ends...but God does. I'm not asking God to help me win, but I am asking Him to help me finish the story I've started, and this blog reminded me that I could ask. Thanks

Thanks, Emma, Rhoda, Sandy and Carol. I guess all the times God answers our prayers with No, Slow or Grow makes us faint of heart. And faith in what we cannot see is never easy--which is why, in the Gospels, Jesus so appears to prize and treasure it!

Yes Anita, as David Jeremiah says, "God can work any way He wants to, but He seems to work most often through the prayers of His people".
Yet, I go through seasons where it is so difficult to pray; discouragement(and disappointment)over an unchanged situation become bitterness...that's when I need the breakthrough of others interceding for me.
On the line of the nuclear bomb...I read once(paraphrase)that if the church really believed God's promises and that He would answer their God-willed prayers, then they would be wearing crash helmets to church.(!)
Love your post,
Carol

Well your blog is a blessing to me :)

I like what you said about praying specifically for blogging. I tend to be a bit self-conscious about my blogging even to God, which is crazy because I felt he called me to do it! But I kind of fit it in quickly at the end in prayer, and have never thought about praying specifically about aspects, which I probably should do.

Absolutely right. 'All I can do is pray' ... all? That's like me saying 'I've got this one Lord, but if I get really stuck I'll ask for reinforcements' :-)
