It is challenging, isn't it, to pause and wonder how God sees the people and issues in our life–and land. That constantly challenges my thinking, and I guess it must, since his thoughts are high above our thoughts, as it says in Isaiah.

It has to be about holding on to ideas and understandings in an open hand and asking God which ones are based purely on tradition and which ones are right – for all time. Those that are based on traditional thought should be challenged by 'younger' ideas – and then weighed up before God and His Word. I want to be challenged to learn from both – young and old – but more than that – I want to learn what is important to God. I am thankful that I rub shoulders with 20 – 30s AND 60+. God – my hand is open – send conversations and thoughts my way to challenge and reshape my thinking – inline with yours 🙂
