I would look for a church where you know God is the focus and we are all helped to worship him. I think this is what definitely takes place in countries where there is persecution.

I would always look for a lovely mix of people, from all ages – always a good sign. Plus that the church offers thigns aside from the Sunday services, and that those things are well attended. Plus are the people the kind of people you can get along with? I think its important to be able to form lasting friendships with people from church and not just 'see you on sunday' type friends…
Obviously what they 'do' in church is important too 😉 but I think you are probably likely to judge that better yourself – you know what you 'like' as it were…

2)A genuine welcome – that is sustained. People are interested in including you.
3)Opportunity to be included in mission – you and your children found roles (if wanted) so you get to meet others quickly.
4)I like an evening service as well – sometimes it is good just to 'be' and not always active.
